This was the Cemetery for the military hospital at China Hall during the Civil War. It was closed 1885 and the bodies removed to Philadelphia National Cemetery. Confederate dead were buried along the river.
From NJ Civil War Record, P. 1737. Burial Record of NJ Soldiers. This Cemetery is situated near Whitehall Landing, on the Delaware River, about two and one-half miles from Bristol, Pa. It contains the remains of those who died at Whitehall United States Army General Hospital, near Bristol, Pa.
