Bucks County Cemeteries
Cemetery Project Completed!
We've finally reached our goal! Our volunteers have now completed Cemetery Assessment Forms for all 209 Bucks County cemeteries that we have identified. Congratulations to our VP of Projects and Research Joann Cosgrove and our chief Cemetery volunteer Peg Felter for all their work in completing this project over the past two years. And many thanks to all the volunteers who collected the information, filled out and submitted the forms! A list of those volunteers appears at the bottom of this page.
Is there a genealogist anywhere who doesn't love a good headstone? We are also about the only people we know of who can be counted on to have our picture taken in a cemetery! On that cheery note we at the Bucks County Genealogical Society have completed our in-depth Cemetery Project!
Our aim was to accumulate as much information as we could about all the cemeteries in Bucks County, so that anyone who is searching cemeteries for information about their ancestors can find it on our website. So far we have identified 209 cemeteries in the county, and our many volunteers have gathered information on each of these cemeteries.
As we received the completed forms, the information collected was uploaded to our website for anyone to use. Along the way we found that many cemeteries have had their burial records and/or gravestone inscriptions transcribed and were willing to share them. While we have basic information on all the cemeteries, we do not yet have burial records or gravestone transcriptions for all of them. So all you cemetery detectives please review the cemetery list below and send an email to Joann Cosgrove, VP-Projects at projects@bucksgen.org if you are willing to help. Your ancestors are dying to be found!
Here is the list of Bucks County cemeteries the BCGS Cemetery Project has identified, as well as a few not in Bucks County but nearby, identified with (*).

Thanks to all these volunteers who contributed to the BCGS Cemetery Project:
