So you’ve done your DNA... now what? In follow up to last month’s introductory program on Genetic Genealogy, Cathy Ivins will present a case study to learn how digging into a DNA toolbox - using spreadsheets, third-party sites, and today's innovative tools - solved a paternity mystery, and which will help you use your DNA results to expand your family tree, break through a brick wall, and identify matches.

  Genetic genealogist Cathy Ivins has been researching her family history for over twenty years. Cathy completed the Forensic Genealogy and Practical Genetic Genealogy courses at the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh, and countless conferences, which have assisted her in solving brick walls and identity cases. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience through lectures on utilizing DNA and/or social media for genealogical research, important tools for today’s genealogists. Cathy has been Director of Publicity for BCGS for ten years, and recently retired as an Instructional Assistant in an Autistic Support Classroom for Bristol Township School District after 26 years. She looks forward to her golden years down the genealogy rabbit hole.
