The collection includes original correspondence, enlistment rolls, mustering papers, photographs, soldiers' payroll records from different states, and other documents. There is also some accumulated secondary-source material, such as: photocopies, research notes, and narrative histories of people involved in the 104th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry regiment and Durell's Battery; a register of descendants of the 104th regiment; a list of Civil War veterans buried in Doylestown Cemetery; newspaper clippings and information on the monument to the 104th regiment in Doylestown, Pa.; transcripts of diaries; and more. A detailed item-level inventory is available on-site.
