The transcriptions were made from the original marriage certificates filed in the office of the Bucks County Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphan's Court. In addition to the names of the bride and groom and the date of marriage, a marriage registration record may contain such information as the age, occupation, and residence of the bride and groom, their parents' names, the date of death of a prior spouse if any, the date the license was obtained, the place of marriage and the name of the officiant. These marriage records are indexed by the names of the bride and groom, as well as by their parents' names if listed in the record. |
