| Description | This group of records consists of abstracts of marriage notices appearing in the Quakertown Free Press between 1923 and 1934. Information included in each record includes the date of publication, names of the parties, and date of marriage. Most records also include the place of residence of each party and the name of the officiant, and some mention the name of the bride's father. The abstracts were compiled by Terry L. Musselman and typed and indexed by Thomas G. Myers as volunteers for the Bucks County Historical Society. The transcribed abstracts were donated by Mr. Myers to the Bucks County Genealogical Society with the kind permission of the Bucks County Historical Society. The original printed transcriptions are available at the Spruance Library of the Bucks County Historical Society. They can be searched by either the bride's or groom's name, as well as by the bride's father's name if included in the notice. |
